The Aakri service
Aakri is a platform that connects sellers with our pickup team and service partners for doorstep waste collection. A “seller” is the person who owns the material and schedules the pickup. The platform may include profiles, chat, email and other ways to communicate about your bookings.
Booking a pickup
- You can book a pickup through the Aakri app, our website or by calling customer support.
- Please give an accurate address and contact number so our team can reach you.
- Scrap pickups are free of charge.
- Make sure the material you hand over is yours to sell or dispose of.
Rates and payment
- Rates follow market prices and may vary by location and time. The current rates are shown in the app, and our team will confirm them at the time of pickup.
- Your scrap is weighed at your door, and items not listed in the rate chart are valued on the spot by our pickup team.
- Payment for scrap is credited to your Aakri wallet.
- Scrap sold to Aakri cannot be returned, as it is sent on for recycling.
Cancelling or rescheduling
- You can cancel or reschedule a pickup in the app at any time, or by calling customer support during working hours.
- Please cancel at least 30 minutes before your pickup slot, so our team can plan their next collection.
- Aakri may also need to cancel or reschedule a pickup; when that happens we will let you know.
Loyalty programme
Every trade with Aakri is automatically enrolled in our loyalty programme. Benefits are linked to your mobile number, so please use one number per user or family.
Using the platform
Use Aakri’s chat, messaging and other communication features only for messages that are relevant to your bookings and appropriate. Misuse of the platform may lead to your account being suspended and to legal action, including civil, criminal and injunctive remedies.
Intellectual property
The Aakri app and website, including their design, flows, look and feel, content, graphics, images and logo, are owned by Aakri Impact Private Limited and protected by copyright law. You may not download, reuse, reconfigure or imitate any of this material without our prior written permission. We may take legal action against anyone who does.
Feedback and complaints
We take your feedback seriously. Get in touch about anything related to our service, and if you are happy with it, tell your friends and family about Aakri.
Governing law
Aakri operates in line with the laws and regulations of the Government of India, and these terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes to these terms
We may change, replace or remove any part of these terms or our other policies at any time. We will make a sincere effort to tell you about important changes by email or in the app, and we encourage you to review this page from time to time. By continuing to use Aakri after a change takes effect, you agree to the revised terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
